Nicolette Kowal, NP

Nicolette's Story

Nicolette first joined Tri-County Medical Clinic in 1996.  She has extensive experience as  a Nurse Practitioner in both outpatient and inpatient care as well as acute and long-term care. For her there was no other option but to become a Nurse Practitioner- it was a calling , it was a destiny. Nicolette’s mother was a Nurse and it only seemed fitting that she followed the calling as well.

While she has loved every single position she has ever held as a Nurse over the course of her career, she brings with her a variety of experience- from medical-surgical nursing  and critical care to ambulatory care and long-term care. She continued her education and training to become a Nurse Practitioner to be more impactful in her patients’ lives.  Nicolette works with patients one-on-one and develops long-term relationships over the course of time, rather than just seeing them once during a clinic visit or a hospital episode.

Nicolette holds dual board certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Nicolette received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University where she graduated with academic honors. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University and a Post-Masters Certificate from Oakland University. She has served as a clinical instructor for several universities including: Wayne State University, Oakland University, Ball State University, University of Cincinnati, and South University.

Nicolette specializes in acute care, outpatient/office care, rehabilitation/post-acute, and long-term care.
