Payments.
Tri-County Medical Clinic requires the payment of co-pays and past-due account balances at the time of service.
If you do not have insurance, full payment is expected at time of service. Our cosmetic division, Troy Laser Center, does not accept medical insurance for any of the services offered. Both facilities do accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
Insurance.
Our physicians participate in most insurance plans.
Below is a list of our most common insurance plans that we accept. If your insurance is not listed below, please call our office at (586) 979-5100 or contact your insurance carrier directly to see if we participate in your plan.
Our office will submit claims on your behalf for most insurance companies. Please bring your insurance card with you to every visit so we can ensure we have accurate information on file. Please notify us if you have any changes in your name, address, phone number or insurance plan.

Frequently asked questions.
Can I schedule both my medical and cosmetic visit at the same time?
Yes, depending on the cosmetic treatment being administered, you might be able to schedule both services at the same time. The front desk staff at Tri-County Medical Clinic will be able to coordinate those visits for you.
Do both facilities accept the same form of payments?
Both Tri-County Medical Clinic and Troy Laser Center accept the same types of credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express), however, Tri-County Medical Clinic has its own billing company for processing insurance payments whereas Troy Laser Center (as a cosmetic division) does not accept nor process any insurance payments. Troy Laser Center does offer, depending on the type of procedure, in house payment options.
Is Troy Laser Center located within the same building as Tri-County Medical Clinic and is it under the same management?
Yes, our aesthetic skin care division, Troy Laser Center, is located within the same building as our medical practice; both share the same reception area and are under the same ownership and management.
What is the cancellation policy for the clinic?
We understand that situations arise at times when you have to miss your appointment. However, that spot could have been assigned to another patient, therefore we require a 24 hour cancellation.
What is the policy regarding missed appointments?Â
Again, we do understand that emergencies come up, however, if a patient "no-shows" without any cancellation two times in a row, there will be a "no-show" $25 fee assigned to the patient's account.
What happens if I need to see a doctor after regular hours?
If you need to see a provider after hours, one is always "on call" and available through our answering service (1-877-844-7727).
If I only need a prescription refill, do I need to see a doctor for a visit?
Prescription refills depend on many factors such as when the patient was seen last and what type of medication is required (certain medications can not be prescribed without a medical visit). Please note we do have up to 48 hour turn around time for filling in prescriptions and no narcotics prescriptions will be called in by the "on-call" doctor.
