CoolPeel

We know the quality of our patients’ skin varies wildly from person to person, so it was important to us that we found a treatment that can work on different types of skin. Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a microneedling procedure that can help clear up skin. It works by treating deep in the skin to induce collagen production. Morpheus8’s fractional technology actually reaches deeper than any other microneedling device currently on the market. Procedure time
When preparing for the Combination Peel in Troy, MI, it’s important to account for both the CoolPeel and Morpheus8 processes. The CoolPeel process is the shortest of the two, lasting anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. However, if you wish to schedule a deeper treatment with the Tetra CO2, then we will have to apply a topical anesthetic an hour before the treatment begins.
The Morpheus8 procedure may last a little longer, depending on the patient. On average, the treatment may last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Once the process is over, we apply healing sunscreen and lotions. We also give you an opportunity to ask any further questions you may have about the recovery process. All told, the entirety of the Morpheus8 treatment may last up to 2 hours.
So, when combined with the CoolPeel, you’ll only need to spend a few hours to see skin clearing results!
Recovery time
The Combination Peel will result in some apparent but temporary effects. The CoolPeel will leave you with sensitive skin that feels most similar to a sunburn. Fortunately, the recovery time after a CoolPeel treatment is minimal. You will notice rougher skin and slight redness for up to 3 days. However, if you’re treated with the more intense Tetra CO2 laser, this may last up to 6 days.
The Morpheus8 treatment has similar side effects. The treatment feels like being plucked with tweezers, and you may feel skin irritation for around 4 days following the procedure. You can help minimize recovery time by avoiding direct exposure to the sun and moisturizing the treatment area.
Results
You may notice the results of the CoolPeel treatment in as little as a single week. The results of the Morpheus8 will appear a week after that. Both of these procedures offer long-lasting effects. You may notice improvements in your skin quality for up to 6 months. Both treatments require at least 3 sessions, each of which must be performed in 4-week intervals. This makes it convenient—you can receive 2 maintenance treatments in the same appointment!

While the Morpheus8 treatment is safe for all skin types (including African American skin), the CoolPeel is only safe for Fitzpatrick l-lV skin types. CoolPeel can be used on other areas of the skin besides the face, including the hands, neck, and décolletage. Results of the Combination Peel can be noticed within 1–2 weeks, but the produced collagen will only continue to improve your skin over the next 6 months, over the course of 3 sessions.
